  • Overview

    Responds to patient phone calls regarding shipment inquiries. Ensures that all necessary medical documents and patient accounts are consistent and complete to permit the timely billing of patient services.


    • Receives all inbound and transferred calls for Insulin Pump patients regarding reorder shipments or questions on account
    • Makes sure all required medical documentation is complete to permit billing of services
    • Maintains accurate patient records
    • Coordinates with pharmacy personnel to ensure valid insulin prescriptions
    • Process departmental miscellaneous mail
    • Compile and maintain reports used to track shipping errors
    • UPS reporting
    • Maintains regular and consistent attendance


    • High School diploma or GED equivalent and 6 months of customer service experience (preferably in a call center environment or phone-based position) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
