Overview

The Medical Supply Liaison is responsible for implementing and coordinating the On-Site Supply Delivery System to grow the business organically.  This person will, upon receiving the patient choice letter confirming selection of CCS Medical as their supplier, provide education and information to both the physician and the patient on a wide variety of products that provide improved healing outcomes.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Upon obtaining a signed Patient Choice letter, educates CCS Medical customers regarding the proper use of the products provided
  • Manages the order cycle process and maintains all original documentation in an organized manner
  • Prepares and analyzes reports
  • Is a resource and creates awareness with clinic staff and physicians regarding CCS services, supplies and new products as they become available
  • Attends and participates in clinic meetings where CCS Medical and DME issues are of direct concern
  • Attends quarterly panel meetings. Presents on products, guidelines, and utilization if opportunity is allowed
  • Performs marketing calls to call points when time permits
  • Attends clinic open houses and CME programs to present CCS medical products and services
  • Extends products and services to all satellite centers when requested by parent center
  • Places compression pumps outside clinic (physician offices) when requested by referring physicians
  • Provides onsite clinic coverage for other unavailable MSLs, as needed or Is readily available during all productive Wound Care Clinic hour
  • Recognizs that the clinic is CCS Medical’s customer and represetns CCS Medical with integrity, honesty and pride.  Respects and abides by Wound Care Clinic’s rules unless those rules conflict directly with the job description or the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
  • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements
  • Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications

Position Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and two years of sales or wound care experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Must possess the ability to learn the basics of our products and must know how to effectively educate on the differences and benefits between numerous products provided from CCS Medical.  A demonstrated ability to perform a fine-tuned presentation is a must
  • Reads and interprets documents such as print material, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; writes routine reports and correspondence
  • Uses appropriate methods of communication with prospective and current clients to gain acceptance of products, services, and ideas
  • Identifies opportunities and takes action to build and maintain strategic relationships between one’s area and other teams, departments, customers, or organizations to help achieve business goals
  • Monitors the results of delegations, assignments, or projects, considering the skills, knowledge, and experience of the assigned individual and the characteristics of the assignment or project
  • Ensures the customers perspective is a driving force behind business decisions and activities. Effectively meets customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty
